Shell Shock was written for a music theater work co-conceived by the cellist Céline Papion, which takes inspiration from soldiers in World War I who managed to make musical instruments from what they found lying around. One hundred years later, the artist Aldo van den Broek constructed a cello made from discarded materials, nicknamed Otto. Click here for more information about the project.
